Mad & Max: two robots that converse (2019)

Plastic balls, wooden squires, cardboard, elastic bands, gaffer tape, motors, microcontrollers

"Mad & Max were our most challenging project yet. Construction was constantly changing, coding conversation was intricate, but still worked accordingly, and performance was barely to working standards. Radio conversation worked perfectly, but the slow movement speed is what disappointed us both. We’re still both extremely happy that Mad & Max performed well, but if we ever remade them they would be faster, and box shaped. All in all, our personal project was still successful and something we are both proud of." Justin Galley

The Date (2019)

In this fun interactive experience, you begin by sitting down in front of a dinner plate, as if you were on a “date” with the person across from you. Depending on which utensils you pick up or what movements you do - putting your elbow on the table for example - the computer reacts with voice lines or quirky comments.

Glitch (2018)

Exploring the relationship between trauma and memory through touch, poetry, and compartmentalization, Glitch is comprised of 7 touch-sensitive orbs, each containing a small sculpture. When held, each orb triggers the playback of the artist’s voice reciting a section of the Glitch poetry collection witten by the artist.
